The auIGF kicked off in Melbourne today. I watched a live stream broadcast – the opening speeches were good. Not sure how long that link will work – but at this stage you can rewind. It kicks off at about the 26 minute mark.
Highlights so far:
Chairman’s Intro – Stuart Benjamin had a short speech where he also announced a few new appointments.
- Michaella Richards as the new Demand Class Director replacing Miguel Wood. LinkedIn profile
- Leonie Walsh as an Independent Director – LinkedIn profile
- Rachael Falk has joined the team at auDA as Director Technology, Security and Strategy. LinkedIn profile
He also announced the date for the AGM – 28th November. Anyway considering standing for the Board should have their skates on!
CEO Intro – Cameron Boardman made an excellent speech. I have to say I am very encouraged by what he had to say – and his vision for the future. One of his main points is that he wants to engage with all stakeholders. If that actually comes to be, then that is very refreshing.
Unfortunately, nothing as yet has been done about cryogen.com.au – the story featured on Domainer yesterday.
Hopefully, some action will happen today. Peoples credit cards are at risk.
