Changes at the auDA

In breaking news, there is a new Chair of the Board at the auDA. (A Media Release has just come through from Helen Hollins at the auDA).

At the first Board Meeting since the AGM, Stuart Benjamin – a Demand Class Director – was yesterday voted in as the new Chair.

Stuart was first elected to the Board in November 2012; and re-elected again last year. He is a successful self-employed businessman from Ballarat. Importantly though, he is a listener – and an achiever. He has shown that he is prepared to engage with (and listen to) his “constituents” when it comes to all matters realating to .au. For anyone who has met him, he has a wicked sense of humour – and is also a genuinely nice guy. đŸ™‚ I look forward to seeing him in his new role at the auDA – and wish him great success.

Long standing Chairman and Independent Director Tony Staley did not nominate for Chairman, but will remain on the Board. On a personal note, I sincerely wish him well. He is one of “nature’s gentlemen”; and has served the auDA well.

Air Vice-Marshal Julie Hammer AM, CSC will remain on the Board as Deputy Chair.

Should be an interesting 2016.
