Poor old Bremco Metal Products – just when you thought that their problems were all sorted out, the scammers decide to have another crack.
This morning, I was just running my eye over the list of purchasers of expired auction domains, and what did I see? These 5 domains below have recently been purchased in the name of Bremco. So with GST and Buyer’s Premium, they have so far spent about $500. It makes me wonder if they’re using someone else’s credit card as well?
cybernetrix.com.au | 15-Dec-16 | $51 ++ |
goddessassociation.com.au | 15-Dec-16 | $51 ++ |
invictabus.com.au | 15-Dec-16 | $51 ++ |
veoliatransportwa.com.au | 15-Dec-16 | $51 ++ |
dilemmas.net.au | 13-Dec-16 | $31 ++ |
What’s more frustrating to me though is that the same registrant contact as before (jlarstlyonline@gmail.com) has been used on some of the purchases. Surely Netfleet should have shut this account down?
A “maria.youngw@gmail.com” gets a run as Registrant Contact as well. Here are two sample screenshots of WhoIs.

It is a kind of loophole to be registering domains in another companies abn. Presumably there is just a handful of unscrupulous people maybe not even located in aus that are doing this or you see it a lot?
The root cause of this is red tape. AUDA should lift the ABN rules and allow people from overseas to register names without need to jump through hoops or do something doubtful.
