Our Kiwi Cousins Show Us How It Should Be Done

auDA, your proposed Registry Transformation Project may or may not be a good idea, but please, you first need to consult members and stakeholders as defined in the auDA Constitution (if you intend to bring it “in-house” in some shape or form).

That’s why you forced Members to call a S249D General Meeting – because it seems that you weren’t / aren’t prepared to do this.

Have a look at the changes that InternetNZ are proposing, and how they go about it. Like the mighty All Blacks, they certainly know how to play the game properly.

    Are they a Registry Operator?

No BUT InternetNZ owns the Registry

Welcome to the web site of NZRS Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of InternetNZ.

We are the registry for .nz domain names and the operator of the .nz domain name space.

If only auDA was as courteous with its members and stakeholders as NZ. It would have taken a simple peer review of the proposed RTP by interested parties [members and stakeholders] to determine its validity and objections BEFORE actually doing it.

But, without consultation with the very stakeholders and wider local community that auDA is subject to; the board decided to proceed. Now look what happened, a confused and misinformed public and a membership revolt.

Thats ok, go back to sleep everyone auDA have a newsletter – details will be provided sooon.
