Just wanted to share some thoughts with you again. I think I’ll make this a regular Sunday sermon. đŸ˜‰
Would love to hear your opinion on any topics that may be of interest or concern to you.
Reflection 1
It never ceases to amaze me that a lot of people who feel so strongly about the .au market (including what’s happening with registrars and the auDA) never put pen to paper; or fingers to keyboards. That’s not a criticism – it’s just a matter of wonderment. Is it fear of recrimination?
I believe there is strength in numbers, and the more domain investors and developers out there that speak up the better we will all be. It doesn’t just have to be “brickbats” – it can be “bouquets” as well.
If you’re not a member already, then one thing you can do is join the auDA in Demand Class (it’s only $22!). The more members we have, the easier it will to be heard and recognised. I wrote about this last Sunday. Since then I’ve experienced the AGM of the auDA – and I now believe it is even more important than ever.
Reflection 2
Because I have a voice on this blog, lots of people suggest stories to me; or feed info to me. I really appreciate that. I’ve seen some stuff that would make your hair curl if I printed it!
But what I don’t appreciate is people telling me stuff that they believe I want to hear, then when they are “called on it”, they disappear with feeble excuses. I’ll be writing more on this soon.
Reflection 3
Sales are booming. My level of enquiries has gone through the roof. A few other domainers that I talk to report the same. Would be interested in your feedback.

@Shane – I must say that as an “older” person, I do find some of the planned changes both daunting and exciting.
I’m battling to understand half the things we have today!
