What’s Happening On The Drops
Thursday was a busy day. In total, there were 37 contested domains on Netfleet – they won 33 / lost 4.
However, whilst quantity was high, the quality was lacking somewhat. Only 7 domains achieved 3 figures!
Top name on Netfleet was jetpackperth.com.au for $350 +/+ . Looks like that may have gone to an enduser.
Friday was a much better day quality wise. There were 23 contested domains on Netfleet – they won 18 / lost 5. The top two domains won on NF were matrix.com.au for $3556 +/+ (bid on Drop was just $891); followed by thaimassage.com.au for $1827 +/+ (bid on Drop was $314).
However, apart the two big ones above, only 3 other domains cracked the 3 figure mark.
Funny
Whenever I get an offer on a 3 letter domain, I always try and do some homework to see who could be behind it. This obviously has a bearing on value.
Sometimes though, the prospective purchaser disguises themselves so well through a throwaway email address. That’s when it gets hard.
Just had an offer on ARS.com.au – however I have no clue who it could be from.
It could be a perfect domain for a proctologist though – they are always the “butt” of jokes.
“Colorectal surgery is a field in medicine, dealing with disorders of the rectum, anus, and colon. The field is also known as proctology.”
So ARS could be a perfect acronym for Australian Rectal Surgery. 🙂
