Did a Health Insurance Domain Change Hands for over US $8 million in July 2019?

Was healthinsurance.com recently purchased for over 8 million dollars?

A recent thread on Namepros talks about how the evidence points to the domain being purchased on July 2019 for $8,133,000.

Recent publications by the US government point to the “acquisition of domain name” for $8,133,000.

Although the documents don’t reference the specific domain name. They do state that it’s in the insurance industry. And WHOIS records indicate that healthinsurance.com likely changed hands on January 29th, 2019.

Additionally, government records show that the over $8 million dollar purchase was for interests in a corporation that owned and operated a domain name. And healthinsurance.com used to be registered to “Healthinsurance.com, Inc” in the WHOIS records.

More evidence such as DNS changes and a webcast for their investor relationships also support the massive sale.

I wouldn’t describe it as massive, pretty standard for a major keyword .com name within the insurance vertical.
