This week is my last as publisher of Domainer.com.au. My final post will be on Friday.
I am sure that there are some people that will breathe a sigh of relief to that particular news! And I also know and appreciate that there are many others that will miss this blog.
Domainer has been a labour of love for me over the past few years – and for those that may doubt that, just note that I have never taken ads or monetised it in any other way.
But my health, stress levels and personal life must take priority – and the .au space in its current state has not helped. I have other projects that I want to take on outside of the domain industry, and my wife and I are both looking forward to a change in emphasis.
As to the future, I’m willing to sell. Price is not that important to me – the right person is. And they will get a bargain. 🙂 Anyone that may be interested can email me in confidence.
Ned O’Meara – 18 April 2018
I will be sorry to see this go and you will be badly missed Ned.
Mark
Your insights and expertise will be sorely missed. Domainer.com.au has been such a valuable resource for the industry.
I wish you great success with your new endeavours!
Thanks for all of your time & effort on this blog Ned.
You have provided a great platform for this industry in Australia in particular, “keeping the bastards honest (or at least trying very hard to) has been a strong point for this blog.
Good fortune & health to your future endeavors mate.
Don’t be a stranger & maybe see you in Perth if you are ever back over here.
Cheers
Ed
Thanks for all the insight and assistance over the years Ned, it’s greatly appreciated.
Best of luck 🙂
Cheers,
Joel
I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while now, Ned. Sorry to see your voice will be diminished in future but happy that it’s for the best reasons imaginable.
Wishing you the best of health Ned – thanks for being a good role model and always available to give some advice. Cheers, Luke
Thanks for putting in the time over the years Ned, much appreciated. It takes a lot of effort behind the scenes to publish quality articles, and although I will miss the regular updates (and influence of this blog) you have to put yourself first. Cheers mate.
Your blog has saved and made me lots of bucks Ned. Your articles on auda policy were also very helpful. Thanks mate, and good luck.
Sorry to hear this, Ned. Things have certainly gone nuclear in this industry so I can’t exactly blame you for pulling the pin. You helped steer the direction of the Australian domain name space a number of times, I believe, without a doubt, for the better. You’ll be sadly missed by the industry, but I hope you still answer your phone when friends call! All the best in your next endeavour mate, Rob.
All the best Ned, and thanks for your amazing contribution over the years.
Enjoy your post-au activities.
That’s too bad Ned but all good things have to eventually come to an end. Wish the best for you and your family. 🙂
