Even old fellas like me can make assumptions that turn out to be wrong!
Yesterday was a prime example of this. The domain name Lamb.com.au was on the expired auctions. It was a Policy Delete, so who knows the reasons behind that! Previous site for many years was a T-Shirt vendor.
I thought this would be a prime purchase for the Lamb Board or a lamb producer. And it obviously has many other uses as well.
Bidding was fierce on all platforms – and the new owner picked it up on DomainShield for $6400 inclusive. I assume that because I tried to get the bid at this level, and it was already taken! Price on Netfleet was $7613 ++; and on Drop it was $5361 ++. Well done Anthony!
And Who Was The Buyer?
A Digital Agency in Brisbane by the name of “Lamb Agency”! Congrats to them – it’s a fantastic investment in their brand. And so cheap too imho!

Cheap for an enduser, very expensive for a domainer.
I’d say cheap all-round. If a domainer grabbed this for $6400 there’s no way he wouldn’t get offered $10,000 within 12 months for it. Australian .com.au names are on fire this year!
