Another Byron Bay Success Story

BBPS LandscapeAs I reported back on August 15, I managed to acquire the domain name ByronBayRealEstate.com.au

This premium domain is now in the hands of one of Byron Bay’s most successful independent real estate firms – Byron Bay Property Sales. Jeremy Bennett is one of the Principals there – I’ve done business with him for nearly five years; and you couldn’t hope to deal with a nicer guy.

Some Real Estate Agents Really Get It

In April last year, I wrote this article with the above subject line. Some snippets:

So what can you do to be one step ahead of your competition in terms of digital marketing? Here are just a few thoughts:

  • At the very minimum, invest in a “real estate domain” that relates to your suburb / town / city. You don’t have to build a new website – simply re-direct it to your agency site. Wouldn’t you rather have the “exact match domain” rather than your competitor? It’s a great selling feature when doing a listing presentation. e.g. NoosaRealEstate.com.au or ByronBayRealEstate.com.au
  • And if you’re still hesitant about investing in a geographic domain name for your business, just remember this. The commission on one sale as a result of someone typing in the exact match domain and being re-directed to your agency website will pay for the domain many times over!

Jeremy is one of those agents that do really get it. He’s always been prepared to invest in his business, and having the best domain names are an essential part of that success. Some agents look at domain names as a “cost” – others, (like Jeremy), consider them an essential investment in their continuing and future success.

As I said last year, if he gets just one sale from having the best and most descriptive domain name for what he offers (Byron Bay Real Estate), then he is miles in front.

In a cyber sense, he has location; location; location!

Not only that, but this exact match domain name is always going to be a valuable asset which is capable of being sold at any time.

Food for thought?

Great name and seo rich keywords as you said one google search from one potential buyer the name has paid for itself and now he has an asset for life. A 24 hour salesman willing to work morning noon and night banging the corporate drum for free . No price can now re place a highly worded domain name . The world has changed and are you willing to change with it .
